Why Cant I Play This Video?

I was at my friends house doing a project with his Sony Cyber-Shot camera then we put the video on windows movie maker but he didnt have a burner so we saved it to my removeable drive and then I took it to my house to burn and now it does not work when I open windows movie maker and load it is shows the length of the video but no picture.

kindly check wmm if codecs are auto-downloaded:

wmm/Tools/General/Options -> chk on download codecs auto

Sorry I have no experience with movie maker, but it sounds like your friends computer encoded your movie with a codec that your computer doesn't have.

all you need is to return to your friend house and copy all videos, pictures and musics you have used in project. copy them all in your PC then open the project. double click on one of the clips and Movie Maker will ask you that some of files are missing what should i do? you just guide it to the folder you have copied the files in.
