Why Cesc Fabregas should not be the captain next season – Part 1
The last few months have been extremely tough for all the Gunners with exits from all four competitions ending the dreams of an elusive quadruple. But it is highly important for every player and fan associated with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 to be positive about the coming
season. On the other hand, Arsene Wenger will be looking critically at the Gunner’s season; what went wrong, where did it go wrong and what can be done to avoid it next season.
The Arsenal manager will consider strengthening his squad by buying experienced and proven players to reinforcing some key areas on the pitch. This will serve as reason for the young gunners to perform better next season to end the wait for silverware.
The only worry for all the fans will be if their “El Capitan” would be at the Emirates next season. He has expressed interest in his boyhood club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and with Real Madrid and Manchester City expressing desire in his services, the transfer saga which
continued all of last summer is expected to reach fever pitch yet again.
Arsene Wenger reiterated on the fact that Fabregas was, is and will remain an integral part of his future plans and that he has no desire to let their midfield maestro leave. However Fabregas has been left frustrated by the lack of winning mentality and
might be tempted to leave the Emirates to win a major trophy at club level.
The player has given his 100 percent on the pitch for Arsenal amidst claims that he lacked the urge to win. Wenger will be seriously considering the role of the captaincy next season, which in my eye is right because Fabregas does not have what it takes
to be a successful captain.
Cesc Fabregas is the 24-year-old Spaniard who started his professional football career 1997 with the training camps at Camp Nou. He spent six years with Barcelona Football club before he moved to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and joined the Gunners youth academy.
The same year the player got promoted to the first team squad and since then Fabregas has stepped onto the football field 212 times and in the process has scored 35 goals.
He has also been a part of the Spanish national squad since the Under-16 which he got recruited to in 2002, as he made eight appearances for the team and netted a single goal.
In 2003 he got promoted to the Under-17 national team where Fabregas made 14 appearances and netted seven goals. In the following year, the Spaniard moved to the Under-20 national squad where he made just five appearances, as finally he made it into the
Spanish first national team in 2006.
Ever since making the ranks of the first national Spanish Fabregas has represented his country 58 times and netted six goals for International glory.
I have highlighted the reasons I believe are responsible for the prospective change of captaincy next season with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 the best contenders.
