Why China Olympic didn't bring Jackie Chan/Jet Li, Andy Lau?

If all these actress are on the stage, it looks more like a 'local' stuff, not international. Remember, the event is broadcasting to the whole world, not only China.

Besides, what can Andy lau do ? sing a song ? english song ? chinese song  ? In this big stadium singing by himself ? ... not quite suitable...

seriously i thought so too, i was also wondering why jay chou wasn't shown, even though i'm not into his music, but i thought that he's so popular in chinese pop music.

oh I know and totally agree...

We in Australia were all expecting to see Jakie Chan jump out of one of the boxes and do a performance!

It was very disappointing that none of China's famous were there :(

Maybe China isnt proud of them because they reside in western countries?
