India features 6th..in terms of number of sign ups...but China (despite it's population) is just at number 21!!

Because they know that you Global Warming nuts are WAY out there.  They are not going to sacrifice their industrial revolution and their day in the sun to cater to your bleeding hearts.  

By the way, CHINA has just had their coldest winter in 100 years....  So, it is a good thing they can't read English or you would have well over a billion people laughing at you too.

How many people in China have access to the internet to sign up?  But more important how many people in china can read English to sign up?

most Chinese would not know about it. they have government controlled media there and maybe they have not reported. it could also be that most Chinese are poor and only the middle and upper classes would be able to read English and have a computer. there also may be other factors such as word of mouth that have not come into play in china.

i would be careful because under the same logic the US has about the same number of  sign ups as Australia or Canada but the us has many times its population.
