  1. nfl=faster pace game

    college=slower pace

  2. because most of them are either to big for their size or to little like jared lorzenzen he was a QB for kentuckey that was 6-6 adn 285 and he went undrafted but troy smith had a great career at OSU but was to small to be a 1-3 round draft pick and its also the system they play in like colts brennens he never got under the center in college and he has to learn that in the NFL

  3. In college even the very best teams may have 3-4 all- americans on them.that over 120 teams in div 2a  now shrink that down to 32 Nfl teams simply put the NFL is full of the best talent and the game is so much faster. like when you went to college and you used to be the smartest kid in the class now everyone is the smartest .

  4. For a few possible reasons:

    1. There's always way too much hype surrounding guys (like the ones on your list) coming out of college. It puts a lot of pressure on them and if they don't live up to it right away, it's hard to have even a decent career after being viewed as a bust.

    2. The speed of the NFL is much more than that of College Football. The details of the game are much more complex (schemes, playbooks, etc).

    3. Some guys have natural talent and excel in college. Then they get to the pros and everybody else is just as talented as they are. They're not willing to work as hard as they need to to be successful. Maybe they get discouraged because they're not the superstar on the team anymore and winning doesn't come as easy to them as it always has.

  5. becuase there is a big difference between the college players and nflers. It can be hard for them to adjust to their team's style of play.

  6. I guess you never tried to play college after high school OR never played at all.

    i have found perspective in football is so foolish.

  7. they feel like they have to live up to the hype of the fans and then they try to do to much and be the hero wen they suck it up

  8. They have a hard time adjusting to the pace of the NFL...if you notice everything is done faster, stronger, and harder...to some they can't make that adjustment and keep up with the others...and plus in college you play teams that aren't that great and when you do play great teams not all of the starting players even make it to the pros and in the NFL they were all successful in making it to the next level of football...thats why you see so many college stars struggle in the pros...give them credit for even making it that far...

  9. B/c they cant make the transition. There is also a maturity level they cannot reach.

  10. I belive it has to do with where they are picked. Since they are so good they get picked so high going to the worst teams and majority of them (Texans and Raiders) don't try to build around they're guy say like they're QB. David Carr for example. Fresno State isn't the best College to play for but he did great there. He comes into tougher league, goes to a new team to the league, has to start on day one, and has no weapons or protection. Andre Johnson is Awesome but shouldn't your number 1 guy have more than just one receiver? Thats how trouble starts. Defenses focus on covering him then take advantage of your weak line. Alex Smith? Every year he has to learn a new system. Matt Leinart is injury prone. Lets hope Russel and McFadden don't fall under the Raider c**p picks cause I loved watching them in college. Matt Ryan may fall under the list of great College stars who don't do well in the NFL due to the team he's on but I do belive the Falcons are on the right track though.

  11. Just because a player has performed well at the college level doesn't mean they can adjust to the speed and complexities of pro defenses.  Look at Peyton Manning in that it took him a little over one season to adjust to the speed of the defenses.  Same goes for the runningbacks in that Bush cannot tote the pigskin between the tackles and he cannot get to the corner before a defense is waiting for him.
