Why Concorde airplane doesn't operate anymore, I don't understand!!

In general, everything is getting better in terms of technological innovations... Why Concorde is not with us? Is only gas prices?

In addition to the reason given  on the site below, thee was a terrible Concord crash that happened because of a small piece of metal lying on the runway.  The terrible publicity from this crash, along with the financial problems wa the death of the Concorde.
