  1. I wish we still had a Democracy. We haven't since 1933. What we live in here in America is a capitalist society.

We like to believe America is still a Democracy, but it is just an illusion (no not the matrix, just in case some neocon wanted to make that remark).

  2. It's works well when it's honest (not that I know of one.)  But Mob rule is not always good either.  You need a buffer to make sure the Mob does not over ride it's own principles which will be common and a super majority to over rule the buffer.

  3. Well, im not a expert on Democracy or how it works in elections, but what I do know is that our country was not founded to be a Democracy, we were founded as a Republic.

When you pledge your allegiance to the flag, you pledge to the Republic of The United States, not democracy. YOu may be asking, what is the difference between democracy and a republic. Its very simple.

In a Democracy, people Rule, which means that majoirty rule. ANd lets says that 10 people believes you commited a crime, if a majority said your guilty you would die.

But in a Republic, the law Rules. IF a group of 10 people said your guilty of a crime, you wouldnt die, you would be protected by the law because the law states that every person's right to life, liberty and property is secured. Therefore, no matter how many people say your guilt, your still entitled to a fair trial. And even at a trial, a jury of 12 of your peers must all agree that your guilty before you die.

  4. Are you serious?

  5. I see democracy as a system of government that keeps everyone happy that is what i like about it. However i think that the people and Congress have the power spread out to much. I think that all the power should be given to a small carefully elected group of people who should be given the power to make the big decisions without having to consult and get permission from congress.

  6. A whole lot less people shot in the back of the head in a frozen, snowy wooded forest, the Communism.

A few million less executed Jews that Nazism.

Democracy, is a good alternative for me.

  7. It's the worst system of govrnment...

except for all of the others.
