  1. romano's macaroni grill has been put up for sale by their parent compant, brinker international.  this is due to the fact that the chain wasn't making enough of a profit, and it was costing more $ to keep it around than to let it go.

many of the restaurants that had the lowest % profit have been closed.  this started sometime last year, and it is still happening.  basically, whoever is going to buy the chain will not have to buy all of the poor performing stores...i grew up in CT, and have no clue why anyone there would ever go to RMG because frankly, there are so many other, more authentic options for italian.

also, i worked for rmg in so. florida for about 6 years up until recently, so that's pretty much how i know.

    : )

  2. i dont like macaroni grill, i dont think there is a very good choice of food there...but there was one by my house in sacramento and the waiters wer hot!!

sorry i couldnt answer ur question tho :)

  3. Really?  Mac Grill is pretty bad.  I didn't have one in my old hometown so I was excited to try it out when I moved.  It sucks!!!  Even Olive Garden is better.  If you're looking for Italian you should look to individual owned restaurants, they are usually the best.  As for chain restaurants, try Carabas or a mall pizzera, they would be better.

  4. Not sure, but I remember when the Olive Gardens in CT closed.  I think it has something to do with the fact that many people in CT have Italian grandmothers who are great cooks!  There are also some good quality non chain Italian restaurants as well.
