  1. Sometimes when something traumatizes a person, like maybe he was beaten up by someone so he has to put on a front and act tough.

Maybe he feels like he doesn't fit in or he wants to be a part of a family because he isn't getting enough attention at home. It could be he is on drugs or drinking. Many factors but just a few ideas.

  2. It sounds like your friend is going through some issues that you don't know about.  If he is into dangerous and illegal stuff it might be more serious than you think, but if he is just dressing differently maybe he is just trying to find himself.  I think the best thing you could do is to let him know that you will always be there if he ever needs someone to talk to and just leave the lines of communication open, but whatever you do don't change yourself just to try to be like him.  Good luck!!

  3. People change, you cant stop someone from changing...anyways not all change is good if it is ugli....i.e attitude.

  4. in life we are each responsible for our own actions alone.

If your friend has allowed others to influence his behavior he has allowed the expectations of others to change his path and thus is wandering forward according to others ideals and not his own.

If you have discussed the change with your friend and he does not accept it you must allow him to progress as he chooses because in life we all have choices to make and must accept the responsibility for these choices.

Try and remember the good times with your friend and see the past together as a shared moment of friendship in time in the journey of life. We each experience many destinations along the way. Perhaps the change in your friend will allow you deeper insight into the importance of staying true to yourself no matter what.
