Why Do Airbus A340-500/600 Aircraft Have Slanting Rear Windows?

The last few rows of windows are at a slant compared to the rest of the window.

  1. IN 1964 the designer of the aircraft used to have a ford anglia  with the sloping back window he just wanted to add a little nostagia of his youth to the aircraft


  2. This is to do with the shape of the fuselage. You'll notice that it tapers toward the tailfin. This is for aerodynamics, so that the air can flow efficiently.

    Basically the windows are holes in the fuselage. If the fuselage slants, so too do the windows.
