Why Do Parents ALways Pick For Kids What is Good For them even though they are not comfartable with it?

I hate to admit it but its because parents know best. They have been through so much and usually knows what is best in the long run. I have found many times in my life where I disagree with my parents at first but am thankful later

I wanted to just give what I said above as the answer.

But......You know that every parent was one a kid right?

I am  58 years old and I still remember being a kid and being a grandma now and I am still stunned that I am getting so old.

Adults have experience.  And also have learned so much over the years. And you know what? being youir age will be the shortest part of your life. It really is best to do your best to comply with the adults and be a quality adult yourself.

The jr high and sr hi years are big in your mind now.And like I said earlier this is a brief tmie in your span of life.

Some of the huge mistakes you make now might  change your entire life.

Look at adults and make a decision of what you see yourself as?

The homless bum? or the nice neighbors next door who are

elderly and lived an amazing life? or be a cop or a doctor.

Be constantly dependent on the state amd gpverm,emt tp tale care care of you.

My mother drove me nuts. But, she did help me from making some hugee mistakes. And we do all make mistakes.

My son was a great kid. At the age of 12 he started drinking and drugging. He changed. He got clean long enough to become a meterologist. But he spent so many years in rehab and tormented by the control that his vices had over him.

He died at the age of 21. Had he not chosen the path he took he would be having a good life.

Everything that happened to him that was good was lost and gone. He could of been a professional skateboarder or a doctor, or a phtographter who traveled the world. Instead he became a slave to his drugs. And was misserable.

Some times yous just have to sit back and figure. why upset the adults,  Tell yourself that you will be on your own in four years or whatever and  plan your future and how you will be able to support yourself financially and make the best of your life.

First thing, because they can as they possess natural superiority over kids. Secondly, they are more experienced than the kids and their choices are supposed to prove much better than kids

Parents act like this, because they want to protect you. When you're young, you make A LOT of mistakes. Look how many teenagers have wasted their life by getting drunk and pregnant. With parents that don't care about they're kids, they leave them with complete strangers, let them drink like anything, let them stay out with 32 year old paedos until 3 am and don't care that they're wearing 10" heels and really S****y outfits.

Parents have usually been there done that and experienced a lot more. Besides, most decisions parents make are out of love because they dont want to see they're babies get hurt (yes no matter how old you are, you are still our babies)

It depends, how old are the kids? Obviously for very small kids it should be the parents' choice for them, but parents also should let kids use their own brain. Children are not as stupid as most think, but when you don't let a person think for themself, then how are they going to gain any skills? Also, no, parents do not always know what's best. There are a lot of idiot parents.
