Why Do Car Manufacturers Have A Certain Brand Of Speakers Different From The Competition? Why Not The Same?

For example:

Why do Audi have Bang and Olufsen, but BMW have Harmon/Kardon.

Is there a specific reason for choice of speaker brand? Would they ever have the same?

Surely its just a front,. would,nt mind betting all the components are made at the same place anyhow

because if they were not original then they would be the same as the other companies and some speakers are better than others its pretty much for brag rites!

Speaker companies probably haggle with the car companies because they know that they are going to buy thousands of speakers from them. Not only to fit every car of any model that includes them but some also for spares & repairs.
