Question:

Why Do Cats Run In Front Of Cars?

The reason I ask this is because they don't seem very smart at all. In my neighborhood, I'll see them sit there on the sidewalk or whatever and watch the car approach. Then, when the car is only a few feet from them, they decide it's time to cross! I highly doubt it's coincidental, so does anyone know what drives cats to do that?

  1. I'm not sure about the timing issue, but I know cats, being predators, have their eyes positioned in the front of their skull. Even though a car is pretty big, there is a chance they might not see it.

  2. i'm not sure but i hate that

  3. So cats could be blind but still hear. So when they hear the cars approached they think they are going to be hit so they run in front of the car.

  4. they get scared from the tire noise and just bolt usually in the direction they are looking. deer do the same thing

  5. They are usually lured out by a dog or bird or some type of shiny object that may be on the opposite side of the road.

  6. THE SQUIRRELS DARE THEM TO DO IT!!
