Why Do Foilage Plants Get Brown On The Edges & Lose Its Leaves?

does it have something to do with how much water you give them?

  1. Exactly right!! It could be too much water, too little water, not enough sunlight, or plant diseases or insect activity.

  3. The simple answer. Brown withering edges and tips as well as leaf drop are usually caused by lack of water and dry air. Your plant probably needs more humidity and for the soil to not be allowed to dry out as much as it has been. Lightly mist the plant daily and once the top half inch of soil feels barely damp – water the plant again (until water drips from the drainage hole in the pot) but DO NOT let the plant sit in water. Empty the saucer if it should stay filled with water for more than half an hour.
