Whenever I go swimming, I eventually get cramps and never eat 2 hours before I swim and I drink like 3-5 cups of water so I don't get dehydrated. But I still get cramps and my feet and legs hurt so bad.

  1. if u swim the right strokes for your body and dont use your ankle blelow to swim then you shouldnt get that

  2. lack of oxygen! its the reason for every type of cramping in sports.  it is more common in swimming because your not breathing normally.  Try taking a break and get your breathing under control while massaging the area.  Eat tons of BANANAS! they work wonders, i ate three a day for the past 10 seasons! make sure to strech the area after a warm up if you know its a problem area.  Drink plenty of water before, during and after.  Dont be afraid to eat before you swim either, if you puke while swimming it doesnt matter when you ate it will still come up.

i dont know where you are getting cramps but calves are the most common area, specifically while using fins in cooler water. If you get a cramp here try punching the knot out, using tons of icy hot and massaging it for a few minuets, it is in face the worst pain in the entire world, but it goes away fast. you may be sore for a few days so take it easy with the fins!

  3. cramps? well the whole thing about eating 2 hours i heard was a myth. Try streaching like someone said if not then... idk take a break then go back

  4. its called PMS

  5. stretch well during it
