Question:

Why Do I Get Headaches When I Do Brain Work?

I just started college, and have noticed that I end up getting headaches in pretty much every class. It only happens when I am trying to concentrate. Whether it is listening to the teacher, doing a worksheet, or reading, I always get headaches. They go away when I relax, and they do not come on during physical activity. What could be causing these headaches?

  1. It is better to check up with your doctor including to get the vision tested with an eye specialist, blood pressure etc., as there are lots and lots of reasons for headache. Your doctor will know when to consult with a neurologist if the need arises. It is always good to be diligent with ones health.

It is nice to develop interest in studies to have a great career and enjoy the college life as well but in a responsible and prudent manner.

  2. Get your eyes checked!  :)

  3. Stress from starting college and trying to hard.  You actually answered your own question. "They go away when I relax." So my advice is try to relax.
