Alright, because of an "incident" my mom took texting off my phone LAWL (I sent like 300texts and the bill went WAAAY UP. Oopsies. =( ) But yeah, and she said I could have it back Sept. 2nd.

BUt the problem is, I already have texting now! They put it back on my phone early. It's weird, because I didn't know I had it until someone sent me a text. But Im gonna be a good little girl and not text out =). My mom and I already tested it, and the texts DO go out.

So what I'm trying to figure out is : Why do I have texting, and If I use it, will I have to pay for it? The only text that I've sent out is to my mom.

Thanks for the help!

  1. Yes you'll be charge for all texts (in/out). The best thing to do is limited the amount of texting your do or call your carrier and ask them to give you a limited texting plan (EX:500) and once it reaches the limit its stops.

    Most carrier do this service.

  2. Just because you have the ability to text does NOT mean you have a texting PLAN. It means that you will be charged a certain rate for each text sent and each one received. You can get an unlimited texting plan for 10 on Verizon, and I think about 1000 for that on ATT. I can't remember what it is on T-Mobile (I think 7 for 1000).

  3. You get texts whether or not the texting part of your plan is set up. You're going to have to pay for whatever texts come in and are sent out until your plan is set back up.
