Why Do Much Older Men Pick Up On Me

Question

I am 30, and older men in their 60-80's always try to pick up on me and ask me out.

I am disgusted at this, because I am not old, and only feel sick......

I dress very conservatively, and guys my age don't even ask me out but I get tons of older men.

No. I do not attract attention. They just come to me when I'm not looking or anything by surpirse. Why?

A lot of older guys have a bit of money and they have had high-powered jobs and they are used to women eating out of their hands. Unfortunately, many men believe the nonsense that men get better with age. Well, some do but most decidely do not get better. They figure that you are this shy woman off in the corner and that you will be easy pickings for their come ons.

Younger guys may think that you look severe and do not want to be scolded for having bothered a serious no-nonsense business woman.

Try to be flatterd by all the attention while never letting any aging lothario make time with you.

well i get hit on by older men and i consider it a compliment i just say wow i can turn em on at any age and laugh.

Yes it´s strange, i´m in the same situation, lots off grandpa´s is always heading my way and it´s stinks! It´s insulting!

But i think it has to do with how you, and i, dress: the more conservative, the more intellectual and intresting it seams to be for them. Try to wear a simple t-shirt and some sneakers and they will go away. (at least it´s how it works for me.)

Hello,

All people as they get older still have an attraction or affinity for youth.

There is nothing wrong with going to dinner or a movie with an older fellow but they too must realize grey hair and acne don't mix.

Just a question though; if the older man was Michael Douglas or Prince Charles (at least in social status) would you be as offended?

Perhaps you are being picked up by men your age and don't realize it because you are not into them!  It's easier to notice odd attention and than it is to notice something that is not so odd.  

Take it a compliment that you're being asked out and open your mind to the men who seem more age appropriate and give them the go ahead with a flirting eye to get them to come to you.

They are just dirty old men.  They want a younger woman.  However, they figure a girl who is college-aged will never go for them or will be a little too immature.  So they hit on the 30-year-old.  I have had it happen to me (older 20's).  Yeah.  Thanks.  Most guys my age think I'm too fat and ugly, but I'm roping in that old guy.

Good for you for not breaking up that marriage either.  OK.  Rich man gets caught cheating.  You know what happens?  Wife gets ALL.
