I have wooden floors and they squeak. My boyfriend is 140lbs and even he makes them squeak.. so it can't be the weight. My floors are like 30 years old.... yet not all of them squeak... ugh... it's so annoying.

WHY!?... and is there anything I can do other then getting them replaced to make them stop squeeking?

  1. every time the floor squeaks and angel gets it's wings

  2. i answered this for someone else, spread talcum powder over the floor, it gets into the joints and deadens the squeaking

  3. thats the way of wooden floors ! depends on the kind of wood and how it was installed but you can find somebody to fix the squeek just needs a nail and a hammer to tighten the squeek

  4. This is natural for wood floors. There are things you can do physically to quiet them but it's not much fun. As a start, try sweeping some talcum powder between the squeaking boards. This generally gives some relief.
