Good question. Most people think that the world would be a lot happier if people were good and there was no terrorism or stuff like that. But, what they don't realise is that without evil there can be no good; without dark there is no light; and without YIN there is no YANG. It's, what I like to call, the Karma Prnciple.

If the world was just plain good, good, good then it would be very boring. Luckily though, when people do bad things the universe will bite back! Say if you steal something, something of yours might go missing! Again, the Karma Principle.

We are all born with an evil inclination, where by under certain conditions they are revealed to us. You could say that evil is inherit in our nature. Our nature is to simply receive pleasure. And although we try to do this without harming or offending others, its our intentions for receiving thats responsible for all the evil in the world. Which is to receive for oneself,  And when situations unfold in such a way where our needs create conflict with others, then its easy for us to observe the evil thats inherit within us. I want money, fame, power, honor and glory for whom - for my self. Because It makes me feel good, if my brothers are able to benefit in the process then so be it, but if they interfere then watch out!

It's hard for us to admit fault within ourselves. We like to act as if we are complete and perfect, even though its common for us to admit that we're not. But are we really born perfect? If yes then there would be no need of change. If I make something that's perfect, then what changes should I make to it? In fact "change" is only the sign of imperfection. And with each new generation we see more changes coupled with a bigger desire for pleasure. We keep making changes to our outer nature, while allowing our inner nature to remain the same. We never even bother looking to see if our inner nature needs changes. Unless a friend points it out to us, but then we typically change friends in those cases.

So this seems rather depressing I know. Its much easier to find fault with someone or something other than ourselves. If its outside of me, then I can just wait for it to change, but if its with me, that means I must make an effort to change. But is there a way for us to transform our nature? To go from thinking of ourselves to that of others? And whats the benefit in doing so too? Well I've attached a link to an short article that says we can and receive far more in the process. because they were brought up with no moral foundation. Think about it, im assuming your someone that doesnt "do evil" since you asked a question like this, because you have been brought up ethically, but if you are brought up in a way thats abusive and not appropriate, the person will begin to lose a sense of what is right or wrong

Everyone has a way that he will go through, this way is basic and in this level we don't talk about Good way or Bad way.

The way get's good and bad in a level upper than that : it means the level of 'action'. So there is a small wall between thoughts and reality and in modern view psychology of a mankind, and the actions of this mankind.

For every subject in the world he gets a way of himself but much factors work on this. These factors are alot. for example the situation in which the subject has passed the life.

So an action becomes evil from the time when it creates a negative value in the world and one does this in order to calm himself/herself psychologically.

Just good education and believe in the unique God can solve this problem. When u know yourself you are good.

Some people prefer becoming evil because years ago when those people were kids, they had a very horrible childhood. They would be sexually abused, physically abused, and / or above all, treated terribly by whoever looks after them.  Could be the father who drinks heavily, is a sociopath himself, has mental illness, even abuses the mother as a battered wife.  Could be the mother with the same manner as the father.  Could be a foster parents.  Could be an aunt, uncle, grandparent or whatever.

Some of those people who become evil may not be abused and have a horrible childhood but develop serious behavior problems and / or awkward habits at a very early age.  The person who could turn to evil may even be a person with high functioning special needs.

They can have schizophrenia, or have anti-social personality disorder.

People who become evil may even kill for revenge on something years ago that tore them apart.

It depends on what happens to them, even their minds as well.

Those people just do these things because they want to overcome who they are, although they appear to be and act like normal people.

That's a very broad question, because people do evil for several things, even for love.

Like they might homicide, to protect their love ones.

Or they do evil because of hate, envy, despise. Sometimes people are very greedy, and their feelings of hate overpower them causing them to be evil.

Sometimes it might even be unintentional.

But in this world there need to be evil to balance out love. Because without the evil, there is no good. And with no good can there be evil.

Evil is a perception. People may not see it as evil.

Usually the truly evil people are born with no value or empathy for peoples feelings, such as psychopaths and sociopaths. Others due to life experiences, drugs, alcohol and abuse can become evil, but the minority.

However I truly can not nor do I think I will understand when evil presents itself with a parent who kills their children to have revenge on their partner. The same in regards people who murder children, slaughter people as in africa and feel nothing.

As an old saying goes "Evil suceeds, when the good do nothing" I base this on when innocent children end up dead after being tortured since birth when family and friends let Government agencies know about it. Who is the most evil the ones who did it, or the ones who did nothing?
