so her daughter got pregnant at 17. she cant control her every minute of the day!! wat about biden. in one of his speeches he said he WANTS TO RUN WITH MCCAIN . palin is a good choice. she is pro life and wants to help out with global warming. what does obama do? he does not like jews and that is a big thing to me. his mom had him at 18 so there is no right to bash palin about that!

I don't know where you got the info from with regard to Obama disliking Jews.. but Sarah Palin was a Pat Buchanan supporter when he ran for president. Buchanan is absolutely an anti-Semite. I don't care about what age Barack's mom or Sarah's daughter had their first child. It's irrelevant.

We DON'T HATE Palin!  But, the fact that her 17 year old daughter is pregnant DOES have relevance because: 1) She's AGAINST teaching students in public schools about birth control, FOR abstinence ONLY education - MAYBE if they would have taught Bristol about birth control, she wouldn't be pregnant now; 2) THE BIGGER ISSUE HERE is that Sarah Palin took the VP nomination at the expense of her family/child - SOME family advocate - she put her political career/ambitions OVER her family and therefore put her daughter in the spotlight & also is forcing her to marry, like that's going to help the situation (look at Jamie Lynn Spears, when she got pregnant as a teenager, EVERYONE criticized her, and she got married to the father, and he's ALREADY cheated on her - but because Bristol's the Republican VP nominee's daughter, she's above scrutiny?)  ANY Mom would put their child FIRST BEFORE their career, would protect their child in ALL circumstances - but I guess Sarah Palin is the exception.

I would feel the same if it were a Democrat VP or Presidential nominee's pregnant teenage daughter too.  It points to her bad character.  I believe she should have declined the VP appointment, she could've ALWAYS tried for it at a later time.  Her being a woman has NOTHING to do with it, a woman CAN do the job.  AND Obama's Mom being a teenage mother has NOTHING to do with it EITHER, SHE'S NOT running for one of the 2 highest offices in the land, AND, EVEN IF SHE WERE, she DOESN'T have a child who is a pregnant teenager DOES SHE?

I don't hate Palin.  I might not want her to come to my place for dinner and she probably wouldn't want to come over anyway, but that's not the issue.  We're talking about a woman who's set to possibly become the vice president under John McCain who's an old man seeking election to the most stressful job on the planet.  Relatively young presidents like Kennedy, Carter and Clinton started looking noticeably older after a couple of years in office.  Palin could easily end up being president of the United Sates and most of us don't know who she is.  We've just spent the past 8 years living under a president who wouldn't be capable of running a McDonald's and a vice president who could give Satan the heebie jeebies.  I personally think we might want to be a bit more careful next time.  Also, I happen to be pro choice and don't think that more drilling in Alaska is the way to help with global warming.

there are a couple of reasons:

-there are major questions about her ethics (see: troopergate)

-she doesn't believe global warming is related to carbon emissions, despite what scientific evidence says (maybe this has something to do with her ties to oil, or maybe it has something to do with taking the same approach to science as g. w. bush has for the last 8 years)

-she has big oil ties, including having accepted illegal donations from oil company employees

-she was formerly part of an Alaska secessionist movement who's motto has been "Alaska first" (as opposed to country first) and gave a speech to them as recently as last year

-see has governed a state that has the highest per capita request for earmarks in the country--and though she claims she said "thanks, but no thanks" to the bridge to nowhere, she ran for governor on that issue promising to "represent the people of the southeast" only to go back on her word once elected

-she has NO foreign policy experience (and no her proximity to Russia means nothing--this is a STUPID and senseless argument--show me a single instance in which she has even sent an email to a Russian diplomatic official)

-she may be pro-life, but john mccain isn't....and as vp, Palin's view won't mean much

furthermore, aside from being full of lies, her speech at the RNC has shown her to be a true republican in the mold of d**k cheney: smug, rude, snide and negative. it's clear to see she has allied herself with the same people that brought us 8 years of g. w. bush. she is obviously part of that same machine.

lastly about obama, you say he doesn't like jews...I don't know where you heard that, but i'm guessing it has something to do with one of several false, misleading emails that has gone around about him. leaders in the jewish community have issued a letter addressing the statements about obama and you can read it here: http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0...

Democrats are not bashing the fact that her daughter is pregnant at 17. Stuff like that happens. BUT, it shows Palin as a hypocrite because she does not believe there should be ANY s*x education in schools. And her daughter could have used some education regarding s*x, obviously.

Palin also does not think global warming is a man made occurrence. She really doesn't care all that much about the environment. She wants to drill into the pristine Alaskan wilderness.

You're right, there's nothing about Sarah Palin that's any different from most any good family in America. We all have our problems and struggles and the Palin's show that strong families can work through it.

All the criticism of Sarah Palin in the media and elsewhere only illustrates the sexism, double standards and hypocrisy of these people hold.  If Sarah Palin and her husband switched roles, most of this criticism would be absent.

She has more relevant experience than Obama and Bidden combined. She's not part of the Washington establishment and she's a smart, energetic addition to the McCain Campaign.
