Why Do You Think ROBINHO Agreed To Join Man. City? Was It A Good Choice?

Who's loss is it? Chelsea or Robinho?

First, i desperately wanted him to join Chelsea, but after Man City made a 40Million bid and time passed on, i knew that Chelsea were going to stay firm at their bid and that Robinho would have to join man city.

Did he agree terms with man city b/c of money? or that he desperately wanted to leave Real Madrid?

Calderon Statement:

"We have sold Robinho for reasons of human nature," Calderon told Canal Veo TV. "The fact is that we have accepted an offer for Manchester City, and that he is not going for sporting reasons."

Read the last sentence. I think it shows he went for money right?

I mean i remember reading that Robinho said in his conference that he wanted to play for Chelsea and that was the only team he wanted.

Robinho won't be playing for world class team or champions league. I'm pretty upset and all the chelsea fans, but the truth is that he was a top priority and team could play well without him, but would have accepted his talent.

What's your views?

i really want to see what robinho has to say about this and if hes still happy.

*Congrats to Man Utd on signing Berbatov.

*Liverpool Signs Reira, Man City Signs Robinho. :P

  1. its so simple. he really wanted to join chelsea but madrid would not agree terms with them. robinho reportedly was crying and said he just wanted to leave madrid no matter what. man city were the only other available choice so he just went their. he really wanted to go to chelsea and im pretty sure he will regret this career breaking move. i wouldnt be surprised if he requested a transfer in january , so that he could some how get into chelsea. i am a chelsea fan and personally i have heard many bad things about robinho. his performances are apparently under par through out the course of the season. he never performs in big matches. and he is a cry baby apparently, serious emotional issues. not worth it chelsea. sign huntelaar and ribery and be done with it lol

  2. from real madrid to man city is like degrading. i always thought he would end up in stamford bridge. guess i was wrong about his decision making skills. anyway good or bad move, we will find out in due course.

  3. Robinho wanted to play in a more competitive league, but I'm sure that this move is because of the wages offered to Robinho. I'm surprised that he has signed for a club which is not even playing Champions League football. Whatever it is, but this move is a huge gain for ManCity. Their midfield is one of the best in the premiership now I say, they've got SWP at the right, Elano, Petrov and Robinho at the left. They have a chance of beating Liverpool for 4th place i say.

  4. I agreee with Rina. I think Robinho believes (and I do too) that Man City have a bright future with their new Abu Dhabi owners. He will also get more playing time (you would think) at Man City than he would at Chelsea.

Another reason could be that he wants to be the superstar of the team and will stand out more at City than he would at Chelsea. I don't think he decision was solely based on the money, it seemed like he was eager for premiership football.

  5. Robinho is a money loving w***e.

If Stoke had been able to front up enough money, he probably would have gone there.

  6. robinho is in my top 5 soccer players and i think hes just gonna stay in man. city like for until 1 year then when he shows that hes one of the best Chelsea's gonna break the transfer record to sign him next year

  7. Its Chelsea's loss. Rob' may not get to play Champs football this season, But he more than likely will next. Plus he probably got a nice wage packet offerd.. plus has the chance to play for the new Chelsea of the Prem.

  8. No stupid for Robinho but good for Man City

  9. I didn't expect that. Of all the teams he chose Manchester City? He's a world class player coming from Real Madrid and chooses to sign for a team that doesn't qualify for Champions League like ever?

  10. Manchester City are trying to accomplish what Chelsea have. Get world-class players and go on to win the league.....They made bids for David Villa, even after he signed a new contract with Valencia!

So, maybe after seeing Manchester City's aims and their bids and who they got, .... Robinho must be feeling that they are going to break into the Top Four or something. So, maybe he decided to join them as he can feel success lurking around...

Or then again it could just be the money :P

  11. I'm a Chelsea fan and i would of loved to seen Robiniho alongside Drogba

but however i would of not liked Chelsea pay 35M for him as i think he is not worth that much.

i don't think Robiniho has got his heart at Manchester city i think that he just wanted to get away from real Madrid and thoult that Chelsea were not going to bid any higher so he just left without a second thoult.

but we have to look on the bright side drogba should be fit again and we don't no if Robiniho is proven in the premiership so man city could of wasted 35M. At least we have got Lampard his 5 year contract that is all that matters.

  12. real felt threatened that chelsea might become better than them

  13. I totally agrees with you. As a Chelsea fan, I am super disappointed. Robinho is one of my favorite player and I was expecting him to join Chelsea for weeks. I think Robinho joining Man City will be a big flop in his career. Can't wait for Sept 12 when Man City vs Chelsea.

  14. it was all for money! he would of gone to whatever team gave him the most money.

  15. Good one. 4-4-2 formation to replace 4-5-1. He will link well with Jo.
