Why Do most people think Manu Fans are Only Glory Hunters?

Just because United have more fans doesnt mean all of them are glory hunters

chelsea + liverpool have almost as many fans so a high percentage of them must be glory hunters ...

you dont have to have been to liverpool to support liverpool theres loads of reasons to support a football team ...

like through a family member ... i live near manchester about 20 minutes away and i've been there a couple of times but i support them because since i was born my uncle has supported them like mad and it rubbed off on me ... him being the main football supporter in my life

1 of my ncle lives in london and supports liverpool ... how does that work out liverpool fans are exactly the same

95% of Manchester United&#039;s fan base are either outside Manchester (which makes them glory hunters), or supporting them because of parental influence (which makes them secondary glory hunters).

It&#039;s a fact, not opinion. The majority of Manchester United&#039;s fan base is made up of glory hunters.

Because most live outside of England so they say that they have never watched a game or ever been to the stadium and so so.

I live outside of England and never been there (can&#039;t afford it like many others) yet it is my dream. Barely miss a match of any kind for Man United. I agree with you, you don&#039;t have to be in Manchester to be a Manchester United fan. I know hundreds of Man United fans who haven&#039;t been there and there may be millions who never went cuz maybe the can&#039;t afford it!

Because most of these so-called fans have never been to a match to watch man united/chelsea/arsenal etc.So they&#039;re not really supporting the team, just following them.

Glory hunter means that a person supports a team for glory.That means that United are hugely successful since the 90s,and so jealous fans with an inferiority complex call those who support United during that era glory hunters.I do know a few people who switched teams during that period,those are the real glory hunters.When Chelsea,under Mourinho,started winning trophies,many fans switched their colors to blue.More Chelsea fans sprung out of 2005-2007 compared to the last decade.

I live in Asia,there are many middle-aged men who support Liverpool,for example my hardcore Liverpool-supporting uncle.They started supporting Liverpool in the 70s-80s,when Liverpool were on top.So aren&#039;t they glory-hunters as well?

Bottom line is,everyone can call us glory hunters,but in the end they are all part of the same hypocrisy.Just keep ya head up,let the losers worry about losing.

Because majority are.. they have NO connection to the team whatsoever apart from they want to support a team that just wins all the time rather than 1 that has bad times as well as good!

Well, The truth is many Manchester United fans are glory hunters, But for people to say they all are that is ridicilous!!!

To be honest, I think Chelsea have more now-Have you noticed how many more &#039;fans&#039; they have now since Abramovich took over!!

I guess they are just part of football. Luckily, I support Villa so we don&#039;t have any glory hunters! yet..........(!) But if we do then I&#039;d hate it!!!!
