What is the true definition of Kosher Food products, drinks,etc.. How do you know if you are really eating Kosher products, and what makes certain parts of an animal Kosher and another part not? Can the typical person make a non-kosher product kosher? I am just really curious, plus eating healthier/better is something I am trying to achieve. Thanks in advance for all knowledgeable answers.

Peace......

Because they want to.  They have symbols for identifying.

Kosher foods aren't always healthy, but they're intended to keep Jews from eating un-kosher foods.

But, they are accorded a great deal of care and oversight, which is something that the regular food industy has been letting slip the last few decades.

  2. Kosher foods for Jews. Halal foods for Muslims. No beef for the Hindus. No meat for the Buddhists. No coffee, no tea for the Seventh Day Adventist. Why ?

These foods are considered sinful according to their religious teachings.

  3. Jewish and Muslim people eat Kosher because in their religion it says that they cant eat pork. Also you have to cut the animals a certain way (by the neck so all the blood flows down) and say a prayer.

  4. Kosher foods comply with biblical regulations and are consumed for the most part by Jewish people, though non-Jews sometimes look to Kosher foods as healthy or tasty alternatives.  Kosher meat is cut differently and is held to different standards.  There are parts of the animal that aren't eaten and there is a manner of caring for and slaughtering the animal that is carefully observed.  Anyone can cook Kosher food; look up some recipes on google and give it a try!  Typically you can't wave a magic wand and turn a cupcake Kosher, but you can find alternatives and modify a recipe.  Also, just because something isn't labeled "Kosher" doesn't mean it is off-limits to someone observing a Kosher diet.  Basically, eating Kosher is more of a lifestyle than a diet.  If you are looking for healthy alternatives, you could just as easily buy lean meat from a non-Kosher butcher.  Good luck, and I hope this information was helpful!
