Why are the bigger teams benefiting from a bigger rest period. Shouldn't it be equal for all of them.

  1. It should be equal rest for all or if not the better teams should have a shorter turn around cause they have more quality players. The lesser teams need the rest, and to be honest the lesser teams are putting up a bigger fight this time round than before, Namibia had more drive last night and did themselves proud, Ireland seemed to be back in the hotel in their minds. So smaller nations should have more rest to put in another big match the following weekend.

  2. I haven't noticed, but the bigger teams have more pull and TV rights probably dictate match schedules, yes it would be unfair, but their probably thought of as "making up the numbers".

  3. It's just for TV purposes. They will have more viewership at the weekends and that's when the big 6 are playing. John Kirwan of Japan and Pierre Berbizier of Italy has voiced their displeasure at the scheduling but money talks, always is at any sport. Its a wonder why IRB keep wanting it to be a global game but never gave the small nations a fighting chance and level playing field.
