Why Does 1 Of My 2 Amps Keep Cutting Out?

I HAVE 1-4 CHANNEL AMP AND 1-5 CHANNEL AMP. SINCE I WIRED BOTH IN, MY 5 CHANNEL KEEPS CUTTING OFF AND ON. WHAT COULD IT BE?

  1. could b a # of things does the light stay on? id go through all ur wires again maybe ur rcas r loosin signal thake ur time good luck


  2. there is not enough information to answer this question accurately so here is what i need

    what wattage are you pulling and what power is your car making, (what alternator do you have and what is your cars idle rpm speed)

    . does this happen after a long amount of time driving or short amount of time driving? are they both wired to the same remote?  what is each of these amps runnig? is the one cutting out running subs or mids? the list goes on and on

    it could be these things

    1 bad ground or power wire

    2 Amp could be overheating, a common thing with  high power multi channel amps

    3 Auto shutoff when encountered with an insufficient power source

    4 Bad remote wire connection

    5 loose speaker input or input cable connection

  3. you probably got loose wires.

    see if you cant get someone to take a look at it for you and secure the wire back in there...

  4. check to make sure everything is wired tightly

    also the wires may have a short in them

  5. It depends on how they are hooked up. It probably isnt getting enough power becasue the othe amp is using it before it gets to the second one.
