Why Does Bottled Natural Mineral Water Have A Sell By Date On It?

Okay, so according to the label on bottled mineral water, it has flowed through springs for thousands of years. If it has lasted that long, why does the label show a sell by date of six months?

  1. Because the FDA is a bunch of idiots.

    They now have dates on Honey ( the only food that never goes bad)!!

    It's all about the almighty buck.

    Anyway, water in plastic bottles will break down and does need a date although it should be about twice as long as it is.

    Water in glass bottles, much, much longer.

    BTW, being that you mentioned bottled water, did you read the article on the news today?

    Interesting to say the least.

  3. It goes bad its not flowing through springs anymore its bottled up in plastic...
