Why Does Everybody Think It Is Bad?

I don't quite understand why people think that losing your virginity at 13 is very bad? I do not have any kids so I honestly wouldn't know the answer but my niece has asked me plenty of times why It is bad and all I have answered her with was its very bad don't even think about having s*x until you are married. Could someone please explain to me why it is bad to lose your virginity at 13 and what losing your virginity does to your body?

Because they are not ready to deal with the emotional issues that come with it. Nor are they physically or financially ready to deal with the consequences that may happen (pregnancy).

First consider whats the advantage of getting pregnant?

Lets see you have to pay for the child for 18 YEARs and with the current economy teens are blooming with kids but I like that because it will give me hopefull less competition in the future so I hope they do continue to get pregnant early on because I'll need all the openings I can get.

I happen to look ahead unlike far to many teens, I realize more then ever that $ is precious and that we face some hard times ahead of us in the coming decades. Now is not the time to have a baby you have your WHOLE life for that.

Why not just enjoy being a teen?

s*x comes with a lot of emotions and possible consequences like STDs and pregnancy. No 13 year old is ready to deal with any of that, no matter what they might think.

One word - Maturity

both physically and emotionally, the brain is still developing then (well it's still maturing) and they do not possess the required skills to make informed decisions and are not mature enough to handle the possible consequences to their actions in the long run ie:pregnancy or std's etc.

it's not a bad thing if you dont want it to be a bad thing. losng your virginity is having s*x the thing is that they don't want kids having babies at age 13. BUt the reason most adults think its bad is because parents try and hide s*x that they do it in movies. But not telling us like not when were 9 but like 15. I've heard my parents having s*x before and it's scared me for life. basically it's not we just dont want kids having children at a young age try and keep it traditional by waiting till they're maried and getting married after they're 18

Well the main reason why is not recommended to lose your virginity at age 13, is because 13 year olds are still children and not completely capable of taking responsibility for what could happen if they got pregnant. That is the biggest risk and then there are STD's and then to top it off, being made fun of at school. See everyone pressures to do it but then you do and than you are condemned for it. 13 yo should be thinking about doing fun stuff and living life...not worry about who they had s*x with and if their pregnant and if they have a std. They are just to IMMATURE to deal with it. See they think that they are cool and grown up when having s*x but really its not. The cool thing is to wait and then when she meets her husband to be, she has a gift for him that more precious than anything, her virginity.

Physically there body isn't ready for it and if they were to become pregnant it is actually dangerous on them and can cause a lot of health problems in the future.  Mentally they just aren't mature enough to understand all the consequences of it and how much damage it can do to their lives.

I lost mine at 12 and heres the way things went. I hated it, it was painful and my guy was just telling me lies to get me to have s*x. Of course everyone found out and I was called a s**t because I had only been with the guy a few weeks. After that as soon as any new boyfriend found out I wasn't a virgin they expected s*x. "what? did you love him more then me?" I was never able to have girlfriends again because they didn't want to be called s***s to. Forget school, all this drama overwhelmed me. All I had in my life was guys, I bounced to a new guy every few months. By 17 I had already had 2 abortions. Durring those years everyone around me grew up and I was left behind. I am 40 now but over the phone most people would guess I'm 15. I am educationaly stunted at about the 8th grade.I have tryed college 3 times. On top of it, I enjoyed s*x for the first time at 25. I had it for 13 years just so someone would be with me and I wouldn't get lonley.

Would you encourage her to smoke?

Would you buy her a gun?

Would you teach her how to murder?

Would you teach her how to steal?

The answer to all of these, of course, is no because she is 13 and all of these things could s***w up her ENTIRE life if she did them.  The same holds true with s*x.  No matter how careful, one OPPS and her life is irrepairably altered. Either with an unwanted/planned pregnancy or an STI she could be haunted or scarred for life over one poor decision that a positive adult influence could have saved her from.
