  1. There are a few possiblities.

    1) Heat.  Your Graphics card could be overheating and causing errors.  The errors are causing you game to crash.  Open you case, blow a large fan into the case and try again.  If no crash, then heat is your issue.

    2) Bad Memory stick.  On of the memory sticks could be bad and causing errors.  Remove one stick and try again.

    3) Driver conflict. You may have a conflict between you game and some other installed software/driver.  Try turning off as many processes/applications as possible and try again.

  2. Next time it happens write down the error code and google it.

Or Control Panel - administrative tools - event viwer.

It's almost certainly caused by a dll that was in some program you installed, but it could be a number of other things. Once you find the offending dll

    unregister it regsvr32 -u <filename>.dll

    Re-register it regsvr32 <filename>.dll

    PS

You'll have to figure out the vista version of all that. Sorry.

  3. Unfortunately its hard to give a precise answer based on this information. It could be many things but if you are seeing it always with the same software it is probably a software bug. If it happens generally you could be looking at a memory error. Try running a memory test program to see if you have any faults. I'm afraid the most likely cause it just software bugs. No software is 100% perfect - its just a fact of life

  4. Hmm your pc is like really good by the looks of things!

Are you running your graphics hardware to quick? it wont be a memory issue with specs like yours i doubt, but try turning your hardware acceleration down a bit. you can find this in your display propertys under advanced controls unless your graphics software has a controlling suite.

Also something to consider is getting Vista updates for your game from the games website. Vista still needs alot of tinkering so that may be an issue!

Good luck...that is so annoying when you are thrashing a game and it busts like that!!!!

  5. make sure your video card is compatible with the game that you are playing. make sure if the game is a 32 bit your video card in the computer must not be higher than 32 bit,,
