Question:

Why Does My Cat Attack My Bed And Couch?

Sometimes he just pounces and attacks the couch, then grapples and runs around it with his claws. He does this to my bed, too. It's like he became paranoid or something. He doesn't attack me or my relatives, though. His actions didn't damage the furniture much, either.

  1. your cat is probably bored and imagines bugs or something they like to pounce on to entertain itself.

  2. Our one cat does this too sometimes...he is just playing and bein silly...they seem to love it don't they?  I just laugh because this cat of mine only gets a spurt of enery and does this once in a while.

  3. My cat does the same thing but usually she is just playing around. She will attack the carpeting in front of a closed door but that's just because she wants in.

  4. He just wants to play.

  5. my cat does the same thing too so we got her a scratching post so she can scratch the post insted of ur bed

  6. its playing.  Its also not trained to attack only the scratching post and toys.  It may be bored and seeking attention.

  7. I had a cat that use to do the same thing.  You have to remember that these are animlas that came from a generation of wild cats back in the days.  Even though these cats are now pets so of the same instict is passed on!  Fun loving animals don't worry!
