Why Does My Cat Bite Everyone Apart From Me?

We got my Male (neutered) cat just after he left his mum (who he still sees nearly everyday because she lives over the road) after we first got him i was quite nervous around him and as Sparky and i got older we grew closer and now he's all over me never bites me or anything and he lays into my mum and dad if they try to stroke him (he's 5 now) My mum has loads of scars all over her hands, dad as a few but he can get out the way in time usually.

Anyway why do you think he acts like this?

  1. I know why your cat's doing that.Atleast i think i do.Maybe you are usually closer to your cat than your parents. So your cat doesn't like them.Tell your mom and dad to occassionally feed your cat.Once the cat sees how nice your parents are, everything will become well again. All's well that end's well.

  2. He might just be playing or he is protecting himself because he might think they are trying to hurt him.

    Hope i helped :D

  3. My cat even bites me, most of the time he's just playing, but sometimes he's serious too!  He loves you and doesn't want to hurt you.
