Why Does My Oven Smoke?

Question

When I use my oven to bake cookies yesterday, about 5-7 min after there was white smoke coming out of it, but nothing was burnt. So why does that happen?

When is the last time you cleaned it adn what did you clean it with? If it's been a while you probably just need to do that. If it was recent there may be checmical residue on the sides still.
