  1. It worked? How?

  2. Because Iraq has made peace with IRAN and NOT with it's self?

  3. Obama doesn't.  He argues that the surge should have been unnecessary because the war itself was wrong to begin with.

He has done nothing but praise our troops for their courage, valor and sacrifice.

I think it's great that Iraq is finally taking control of Anbar.  Finally, we've restored that province to the condition it was before we invaded; under Iraqi control with no terrorists.  The little matter of ruined infrastructure, bomb craters, raw sewage running down the streets, little to no electricity or fresh water, lots of dead or displaced innocent Iraqi civilians...well, that's the spoils of victory!

  4. It's one of the many real flaws with Obama, he can't admit when he is wrong...again.

  5. Don't get started on the surge. Bush Cheney and Rumsfeld were the ones that wanted to go in thin and light for speed with no plan to hold the peace. There were so many calls along the way to increase troops and they resisted. I mean it was gonna be a cake walk...  How many years are we into this thing? Now they want to take credit? Whether you are for the war or not - if you're gonna do it do it right. I wouldn't give them credit for a d**n thing. The troops themselves - absolutely give them credit.

Boss H is right. I was too lazy to get into cease fire part of it. That is the biggest reason for the drop in violence.

  6. Because the largest reason for the decreased violence is the ceasefire that was worked out with al-Sadr.

    Even the DoD says so.

You know who al-sadr is right? Well remember the name, because he'll be the reason we have to spread freedom In Iraq in another 30 years, after we have already equipped his army.
