That double standard exists in real life as well, and also in WWE.

How is TNA any different here? This is due to stereotypical gender roles and the ideas that "women are the weaker s*x". It's not just TNA here, though in TNA the women (for a majority) take hits and are in similar matches as the men.

A man should never hit a woman, unless the woman is trying to hill him or something along that lines (If a man or a WOMAN comes at me with a knife, I am going to defend myself or at least try and defend myself, even if that means hitting him OR her)
