  1. In case the object being pawned turns out to be stolen goods.  They'll be able to contact the cops.


  2. Because if its stolen, they can come and arrest you

  3. They Will require that you let them copy your drivers license. Look what happened a few weeks ago when Detroit city council person Martha Reeves house was broke into. They found some items at a pawn shop and traced them to the thief. That's how it works.       That's state law.

  4. they don't do that where im from. your ID maybe but no fingerprint
