Question:

Why Does my Red Tailed Boa flick her tail?

I have a red tailed boa and last night was feeding time. All the time her food was defrosting we noticed that her tail was flicking. I have heard that some snakes do this to attract their prey! Is this the case or could it be something else?

  1. That could be the case- she might try to entice the prey to come closer and then WHAM! I had a red-tailed boa and he did the same thing sometimes, but I never thought anything of it : )

  2. she might want to get prey closer or if it feels threatened it might want to pretend like a rattlesnake.

  3. wow never seen mine flick his tail
