Why Does my shitzu keep sneezing?

I have a 1 year 5 month old girl shitzu she keeps sneezing. Should I be worried about this? They are little sneezes one after the other. Should I give her meds? Is it possible she has a cold or allergies? Help!

Some dogs sneeze when they get excited.  Does it seem to relate to this?

If not, then she needs to see a vet.  While dogs don't get colds, they certainly can get infections and can have allergies.  Do not medicate her with anything unless you are told to do so by the vet.

My small papillon did this not long after I got him, we were worried and called the breeder first to ask about it, she said he could have a little bit of grass or something up his nose cause one did that before, he should get it out with sneezing...

It could be that, but I'd contact the vet to makes sure

never give meds if you don't understand what your treating? If this is a real problem she needs to be vet checked so the issue can be addressed wisely.Tilks Mom

give her chocolates! lol just kidding don't do that. they can kill her. try giving worm food or something like soup? if it doesn't work take to her to the vet it could be serious

Take her to the vet... sneezing could be a sign of some sort of infection or foreign body in her nose.

Has she been around other dogs alot lately, or in a kennel of some sort?

I noticed my dog was sneezing alot and coughing after I got him neutered, I took him to the vet and turns out he contracted kennel cough.

If you love your pet, take her to the vet and have her checked out.  Even if nothing is wrong, you will feel more satisfied that she is healthy.
