  1. It's like that everywhere. Besides, if you're a lottery winner, don't complain, BE HAPPY! You still have at least a good million or so I'm sure, so what are you belly-aching about?

    What you do with your winnings though, years down the road, that's all up to you, that's a different story.


  2. It's not just in Florida, it's Uncle Sam, the Feds. Mandatory, supplemental Federal Taxes that must be paid on all large, lottery winnings. Everyone must pay on substantial winnings over $1199, usually.

  3. They are greedy. Heck the Cali lotto deducts even more!
