  1. Benevolent Dictator.

  2. they dont have many cars.they have one car per 10,000 people.they have no need for heat in the winter.

  3. Since they are a major oil producing country the government subsidizes the price.

We aren't a major oil producing country

  4. its b/c most ppl over there dont have cars and b/c they drill for oil in that country

venezula is threatening to cut off our oil so that could also be a reason why

  5. Because people in Venezula dont even drive cars, gas isnt in demand.

The exact oppostite of the United States, everyone needs gas.

So the companies F**K us over.

  6. well as everyone has been saying but cant name it, its mostly the rule of  supply and demand and also like someone else has stated the value of $1 isnt the same as theirs

  7. What's the value of a venezuelan dollar compared to ours?

  8. The reason for their cheap gas prices is because their government subsidises the price at the pumps.

Our government is to busy throwing the money away on war and building up our status as a Super Power to subsidise our price at the pump.

But holding the line on gasoline prices is straining the Venezuelan government, which is already running huge annual budget deficits. A study commissioned by parliament found that the gasoline subsidy costs the government more than $2 billion annually -- money that could be spent on health or education.

  9. Because Venezuela is the Middle East of South America. Venezuela is a very oil rich nation. Look at the Middle Eastern countries that are rich with oil; they don't pay more than .30 cents a gallon. Venezuela makes millions of dollars a day from oil exporters. As for Brazil, I'll have to admit I don't know that answer.

What Americans fail to realize is that our biggest imports of oil come from Venezuela and Mexico, NOT the Middle East.

  10. Benevolent dictator is the right answer.  For the good of the people, control of the countries oil was put under the control of a single government entity.  This entity controls how much oil leaves the country as well as how much it costs people in Venezuela.  14 cents a gallon is not a sustainable price and unless Venezuela chooses to sell more oil than they keep will soon go bankrupt.  Venezuela is fast becoming a fully communist country.

However, don't be fooled into thinking if Americans allowed the government to control oil prices we would have to pay less at the pump.  Rather, we would have less oil available to us, and higher prices would result.

  11. Because the supply is greater than the demand.
