Why Have I Had Pain in my right lower side on and off for about a month now! Please answer!

Question

I am 19 and a female and I have had pain in my side on and off for about a month now! Sometimes the pain is severe and other times it is moderate. It hurts to press on the lower part of my side. But the pain is better on some days and worse on others! I am not sure why and i don't want to go to the doctor!

I don't think that it is appendicitis because the pain has been on and off for about a month. And appendicitis is very rapid. I also had a PAP about 5 months ago and everything was normal. I am not sexually active so i am not pregnant!

What could this be???

For the past month i have had a very mild fever of 99.9 but i feel ok besides feeling tired and th pain in my side.

You should try to look your symptoms up on a medical website, like www.webmd.com, it's pretty acurate and can help you figure out whats wrong. But if it continues for another couple of days or so, or gets worse you should definitely see a doctor because you could have an infection.

I had an on and off pain in my side for about a year. I ran a slight fever, just enough to make me feel bad and have no energy.  I found out later that I had kidney stones.  Go to the doctor and let them do some blood work on you.  I hope it's nothing and clears up soon.

It very well could be your appendix...see a doctor ASAP...that can be fatal.

Appendicitis does not always occur rapidly.  Get it checked out.  It could also be ovarian cysts, or some other feminine problem (endometriosis).  They sound worse than they are.  You should plan to get an ultrasound of the pelvis/uterus to rule out feminine problems.
