  1. Go ahead drive your bomb.

  2. Hydrogen cars will be economically viable once gas prices double or triple.  But then at that point, so will solar powered electric cars.

  3. I always thought one day cars would run on something other than petrol/diesel. My dad only uses his car to take meto school, jobs and shops! I use my bike majority of the time!

    I'm already eco friendly! :)

  4. Don't talk shite they need to vastly improve it.

25 Miles on a full tank that's c**p and you know it

  5. You are an idiot, keep banging on about saving the planet so we can identify you as such.

  6. I have been workimg on alternative fuels, the late '60s & if you built a super-Hy-brid car that that cost than -1p amile to run you couldnt give it away! You have no Mooller, the big oil Co's have the money & they run the Politico's! sorry, as Ned Kelly said on the Gallows"Sutch is Life!"

  7. Hydrogen powered cars are a bad idea. You need to get hydrogen from somewhere. And you're probably thinking "you idiot it's in water and that's everywhere" and that is true BUT..

You need electricity to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen.

If hydrogen cars were more widely used this means massive amounts of electricity will be needed to supply our hydrogen. Hydrogen is not a suitable option.

  8. Does anyone have a link for this? I am a big supporter of hydrogen combustion and later fuel cell vehicles, and there is alot of Resistance because people assume you are going to be pulling a huge amount of electric power off the grid to make the hydrogen. You don't have to get 3-4 80watt solar cells and you can make liters of hydrogen in a couple of days and if you doubt me people are already doing it, using the sun is free doesn't pollute and is cheap when you factor in how much you spend on gas a month. There is also people using wind power to generate electric for hydrogen, and if you want more hydrogen and can support it is your area use a combo of wind and solar power there you go. One thing I don't get is why people think the only way to store hydrogen is compressing it, I have seen several total car conversion company's that do that, you get like 80miles on a tank because it is a very inefficient form of storage for the stuff but we do have metal hydride tanks that can store much more of it for only a slightly higher weight penalty and if your going to say those tanks cost to much your wrong I have found them for 500 bucks for 900sl on the Internet. We need to stop making excuses and start finding ways to make it happen.

  9. I was thinking of building myself a new spy sub for some espionage.  I plan to run it on Hydrogen.  But first I need someone to air drop me into Germany to steal the plans of the Type 212 submarine (U-Boat).

This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds ;)

  10. I believe there are only 7 garages in the UK set up for this. A home version on trail cost £87 a litre (I think) compared to the manufactors who spend £126 for the same amount. Not good figures.

  11. We need to be far more radical because we are running out of fossil fuels and metals fast and need to reduce their use drastically.

That means  adopting a far more frugal lifestyle that avoids waste.  Private cars are very wasteful, no matter how they are powered, and we need to reduce our travel and use public transport, bicycles and walking far more.

Perhaps there will be a place for electrically or hydrogen powered buses but first we need to switch to sustainable electricity generation (solar, wind, wave, tide, geothermal, hydro) to charge the batteries or hydrogen tanks.

Please do not imagine hydrogen power will permit business as usual.  It is essential we adopt simpler lifestyles quickly.  Fortunately such lifestyles are healthier and more fun so enjoy!!

    Best wishes
