  1. Fear of public fearing is common. Every body is focused on you and that is a tough situation. If you slip up every one will notice and that is the last thing you want.

My advice, go up there thinking that you will mess up and are going to make a fool of yourself, but it will be ok. This way you won't be so nervous if you do slip up because you were expecting it to happen. Give your self a break, you are a human being after all.

  2. Because you are afraid you are going to somehow s***w up and say something totally outrageuous and everyone is going to laugh at you, etc, etc. But I think ouyou already knew this it's the how can I solve this? question that you have in mind I think. Just forget about the people around you and think that many of them are feeling the same way that you are, they're just hiding it.

  3. Hi Mark,

The reason you are not scared to jump in and help a friend who is being attacked is because you are thinking of your friend not about yourself.

When you speak in public think of the audience as friends you are trying to help.

    1. What can I teach them?

    2. How can I help them?

    3. How can I make their lives better?

You are nervous speaking now because you are probably thinking.

    1. How do I look?

    2. How do I sound?

    3. What do they think of me?

If you take the focus of yourself and to your audience (friends) nerves go away
