Why I can't burn a dvd movie on a dvd+r ?

well I'm trying to burn a dvd movie on a dvd+r disk, but Nero 7 is asking me to burn on a dvd-r or to modify the settings of my compilation to meke it compatibile with dvd+r, but why ,and how? I have a hp pavilion dv6000

can somebody help me please?!!!!

You need to buy a disc thats dvd-r not dvd+r because your burner only supports  dvd-r...But there are some that supports both, for now yours cant. If you're burning a dvd thats copyrighted, its illegal and they may block you from copying.

Normally this would mean that the burner you're using isn't compatible with dvd+r. There are several types of burners, and not all of them are compatible with all dvd blanks. Try using a DVD-R.

I had the SAME problem with Nero!

I went in changed settings... etc etc...

Couldn't get it to work! (I got frustrated and got...imgburn)

Here somethings to try... (Btw, I have a GREAT burner, burns any format dvd, even Duel Layerd +r and - r) but still I couldn't get Nero to "snap to it"

I've been using it for a LOOOOOOOG time.

Read up it well! If you do your home work you'll see that it has a "bitsetting" feature... Read on it, use it because it's made for use on dvd+r !!!

They can get you thru ANYTHING!

Later when I got calm, I found out that NERO is SUPPOSE to do it... I just hate fighting with the computer (hehehe)

some burners will burn on both + and - .  Some burners will only work with one of the other.  You have to buy disc that are compatible with your burner
