  1. India=English gave this name

Bharat=He was son of Shakuntla, wife of king Dushyant

Hindustan=from Indu to hindu to Hindustan or Hindustani, all started from the Indus river, on the bank of which people living, used be call indu or hindu.

Aryabrath=This name is due to aryan who entered this country, ruled it, settled here, mixed with the local people, make relation with them.

  2. there might be more names too because its a country which as more languages or culture or tardition>

  3. I can't answer the Aryabrath part because I'm not sure, but Bharat is after the founder of Hinduism, and then Hindustan bacause of the main religion. I hope that this helped!

  4. I am not sure why India is called aryabrath but think because of the Aryans who ruled India as Rajputs. India is the name given by westerns because of the Indus rivers. The name Bharat came after the king Bharatha who is the son of Sankuthala. Hindustan is the the name acquired due to Hinduism which is well flourishing in India.

  5. Uh- Different languages mostly perhaps. Possibly also to do with vastly complex cultural systems. India is the English name I suspect, where I'd imagine that Aryabrath is from the Aryan which is seriously ancient, think before Sanskrit, Sumarian, Iranian (Eng. for Aryan).  Arya-brath... Likely the 'brath' has the same root as Bharat, so that would be Iranian (Arya/n) India (Bharat)...Excuse my vagueness, probably get better results by doing a search on wikipedia. Two vast cultures joined together, Aryan (south) and Indus (northwest) giving rise to one of the most fantastic and complex cultures on earth. Look at the history it'll take you places that defy reason  and science cannot explain.

  6. See the name Bharat came after the kaliyuga as per Hindu origin  the king Bharata ruled the country so it is called as Bharat. It is called Hindustan because most of the people there are following the religion of Hindusiam  and the name India is nothing but the anglo phonetic of Hindustan as India. Regarding the Aryabrath the name has been originated due to the great Indian Mathematcian Aryabhatta.

  7. Say thanx to diversified cultures as well as languages....like in Hindi language, the name is "BHARATVARSH". Aryans were the 1st one to come to this country so it is also called as ARYABRATH, Hindustan is used informally coz it used to be made of hindus mostly.....the name "INDIA" is called in English.....u may get various names from peoples of different regions in India.......

              I hope u are satisfied.
