  1. u seriously think so - i don't

i think d talent is here but it is not being nurtured in d correct way . If u notice there are zaheer , irfan , rp , sreesanth , praveen , ishant , munaf , gony , balaji , joginder , nehra , vrv n even agarkar who r fightin 2 be in d squad . The problem is dat dese bowlers are encouraged 2 concentrate on line n length which is not wrong but not at d cost of pace .... d reason why our bowlers luk like school boys on placid tracks in d subcontinent is coz dey depend 2 heavily on d pitch n conditions for assistance . Raw pace is conquerable but only pace or reverse swing works when nothing is in ur favour

  2. indians love pav-bhaji and bhel-puri and that is not suitable food for fast bowlers.

  3. It is all to do with height. Indian men are traditionally shorter than men in countries such as England or Australia. The average height of an Australian male aged is around 5'10"; the average English male is around 5'9"(which makes me the average!); whilst the average Indian male is around 5'4".

Obviously, in each of these countries, this is just the average, and there are many bigger or smaller than those sizes.

Pace bowlers tend to be the bigger men: they have a higher point of release (Joel Garner sent the ball down from around 8 feet!). This makes it easier for them to get the ball to rear up from a length and generate more pace. Shorter bowlers such as Darren Gough tend to have a skiddier action.

However, although Indian average height means they do not produce as many pace bowlers, their shorter height is to their advantage in other ways. Sachin Tendulkar is 5'5", and Sunil Gavaskar 5'4". Their lower centre of gravity makes them more balanced at the crease.

I would disagree that India never produces pace bowlers. India does, but perhaps not as frequently. Ishant Sharma is 6'5" and is a genuine quick.

  4. v have ishant ,, but i think we can;t produce like aus ,eng,

becoz in india 75% of people is veg & don't contain nutrients as non veg . indian players blood is not warm as aussies.

  5. I dont agree with you.. There are players like Ishant who bowls fast.. But you gotta understand that pace always doesnt do the trick.. Skill is required

  6. because the food intake is not right.

  7. though Ishant is there, yet due to tropical environment and physical standards India rarely produces pace bowlers of International standards.

  8. We've got good fast bowlers like Kapil, Srinath, Zaheer, Nehra, and newly Ishant, RP Singh, etc....but i get your question....Well problem with the Indians is the fitness...they try to give pace and end up getting hurt....but in other countries the players are so fit that they can afford to give pace but not indians(take the case of Balaji).....well however another thing is indian players are not quite tall  and (except Ishant) who are tall are not bowlers...and hence the bowlers are unable to have much height and the bowlers don't get the pace....i feel this is the reason...

  9. There was Kapil Dev and Javagal Srinath.

Try this interesting web site that tries to work out the answer.

  11. they have Ishant, he bowls at 145 ~

  12. We had quality bowlers at all time to bowl the opposition out but I do agree we were unable to produce a Bret lee,lille,thompson.marshall......

but Ishant is a good prospect for INDIA in future.
