my opinion...we have a different value than yours..our concepts of god differ radically, our sense of natural awareness is tangent to yours, our source of power is not located in the universe some mysterious place, and our environments are pretty much places you would only take your dog for a walk in.

Other than that, and with more respect, i invite you to consider that life and living arent so challenging when nature is a companion, instead of a resource....contentment is a matter of mental balance, not a matter of credit card balance's and savings accounts....happiness is our hearts harmony with our life's journey, not our journeys motive...and lastly, some folks just dont want to live the ways you do, for reasons so earthy, they could never be explained to you.

The spirit of all liveing things belong to the earth...every spirit dreams it's own journey..your fences, your borders, your boundrys are nightmares, not the dreams of [y]our spiritual home.

I understand what you are asking- you're saying EXCLUDING THOSE TRIBES that get $ from casinos, why do these tribes have the same standard of living.

The answer is that they are still being culturally prevented from living their traditional lives, but denied the opportunities to live the "European" lives if they even want to.

Since the governments don't think that these people HAVE EARNED A FREE PASS FOREVER based on what the government itself has done (I obviously disagree) they have been scaling back programs that were needed. Worse, some of the early programs "Westernization" have made things way worse!

And your point is?  You have more or less answered this yourself, if they do not have any means of getting money then they will be living about the same type of way depending upon what source of income they do have coming in.
