Why Indians are following english culture. Indians are forgetting Indian Culture?

Why the English culture spreading fastly in India. Like Dating etc. Traditional Indian Saree is Not wearing by any Indians In Present. They are following Western culture. Something should be done or else future Indians will Fully forget about the Indian Culture,

Well dont you remember how the ENGLISH, colonized INDIA? They still left some of their traditions behind. But seriously, dating is fine. Who wants to marrysomeone they know? Its only themans choice anyways, what if hes there to kill his new wife to be?

they adopt our culture to blend in to it so that they can live more confortably in england and it may be true that they are losing there culture but it wont go away completely becuase there culture has also added to the british culture like indian takeaways and bollywood films. england is a multicultural society and it is changing all the time becuase of outside cultures moving in which is a good thing culturaly becuase it helps stop intolorence and educates people about other peoples culture and customs.

Yep.   As are the Chinese.   You thought your job market would explode with no repercussions?   The Indians and Chinese will go through the same changes as we and other western nations experienced.  Unfortunately, they'll do it in about a quarter of the time.

Well..totally agree with u however, we cannot stop someone from doing or, following something. Moreover, nor do they right to alienate some culture which they do not follow & mock people at the same time. This is totally non-sense & un-democratic.

Word of advise - teach them a lesson by planning a prank to make them realise they are residing in India & we respect not only our culture but, others as well. This way....they would definately understand the word 'RESPECT'

You know, the Saree will ALWAYS be around, but I think it is OK when the ladies wear international styles and international haircuts.  One of the greatest things about indians is thier famed tolerence for so many things!  What I think Indians should worry about more is western eating practices.  Plastic in the streets is only going to get worse!  And Indian food is the Best!

In india all are easily habituating the Foreign culture in wearing the dress code, the main reason behind this is due to seeing of movies, especially youth people are directly changing their dress culture from Saree's to different dress culture, so we cannot change the system so far. simply take it easy and leave.

I support you in one way, and dont in another.

On one hand you are definitely right , that Indians are getting quickly attracted to western cultures. Things like dating, dining out, attire, language, why, everything we do has a lil bit of english in it. But what you have failed to notice is that non - Indians are also moving closer to Indian traditions , such as wearing large bangles, long flowing dresses, etc.

With the developing world, India is also lurching forward. Do you want India to lag behind by not accepting other's traditions the way they have accepted ours?

We won't forget about our culture. It's just that wearing jeans is so much more comfortable and easier than wearing sarees or salwar kameez. I can't speak for others but I do wear indian clothes at weddings and during festivals - but not daily.

I think it happend because young people watch that western baheviour in TV. They think it is something different,better,modern,they like to follow this. They do not understand they will lost their beuty culture. Slowly indian people going to wear that stupid jens,women will look like men. You do not understand women look in saree like butterfly or flowers. I am sad it happend,that you lost your nice culture.

we shud jus give it up for the English folks. indians are not the only ones thats caught up in this western imperialism. even united states picked up the culture as well. otherwise, why wud wall street guys drink coffee in the morning, is that what the indigenous americans(native indians for those of u who are ignorantly silly!) drink in the morning?

There are too many strict rules in Indian culture, English culture is relaxed and allows more freedom.
