Why Indians say sri lankans are minnows?

I think first of all Nalaka you need to get your facts right. So far I've read only one answer by Oz that called SL a minnow team. We all know that this is obviously not the case as they have won the World Cup, been competitive in 2003 WC and made it to the finals in the 2007 WC. So SL are obviously no minnow! I think of Sri Lankans as brothers and sisters of India. Our two countries are great friends and very closely related!
