Why Is D.C. Building A New Stadium?

Why wont they be there in 2011?  Did I miss something.  There is great baseball history with the Washington Senators.  If they can rebuild that organization, they have enough fans to fill the stadium.

alot of DC liberals are mad because first they built a baseball Park (eww i wanted opera house) Then there hand gun ban got shot down by the supreme court.

If the Nats can get respectable Virgina people will come to see them.

They are just so bad right now with no stars or anything.

Building? It's BUILT. Opened in April this season, though they still haven't yet sold off the name, but eventually some corporation will pony up.

And the lease on that new playpen will ensure the Nationals are there through 2011 and at least 17 years beyond.

Actually, the stadium is already built.

Anyway, first of all, it is way better than ****** RFK stadium.

Every team falls through slumps for months or even years.

The Nationals just haven't clicked it yet.  

Give them time.

I just think it is incredible that a chick from DC knows who Walter Johnson is. I would like to know where she gets the notion that they'll be gone after 2011.

actually that new stadium is already built. and every team will suck and be good at some point or another. not a smart question

They aren't going anywhere.  There is no way they would build a new stadium for them only to have them leave after a few years.  MLB wouldn't even allow that.

the nats have been there for 2 or 3 years now.new staduim is already built.
