I need to contact the US Embassy in the Philippines regarding my petition for my mother. I tried to call the Call Center that they had on her paper, I even e-mailed, sent them letters but there is no response at all. My mother's interview is on the 23rd Nov and I really need to talk to them before this. I already tried their sites but nothing there anwers my questions. Why do they give out their contact number and no one answer it?

  1. Contact these people and tell them your issue.

  2. It not just in manila but all over the world the US embassies are very difficult to get ahold of.....good luck....

  3. In this case, the best thing to do is show up.

  4. It's hard to contact the US embassy in Manila due to the number of visas that are processed there.  If they answered every call from people calling to inquire about visas for family members that's all they'd have time to do, nothing else.  In the old days the line outside the embassy used to start to form at midnight and stretched 10 blocks by morning.  It's still a madhouse, only they use an appointment system now.

Try calling the Philippine embassy's consular section in Washington, DC.  You always get routed to voice mail and the voice mailbox is always full.
